On July 30, 2013, construction began at the Grace Episcopal Church located at 819 Madison St. in Syracuse NY. The end goal of this project is to retrofit the building’s existing parking lot with porous pavement. This project is part of Onondaga County’s Save the Rain program to mitigate stormwater runoff using green infrastructure.

Gear Factory Green Roof Progress
These images are of the green roof located on top of the Gear Factory building located at 202 S. Geddes St in Syracuse, NY, taken almost a year after the installation. This green infrastructure is part of a larger project to renovate the old factory building into a community living space. The purpose of the green roof is to reduce the stormwater runoff and provide insulation for the building.
Liberty Green LEED Certified!
NSE provided LEED AP services for the Liberty Green project which was recently awarded LEED-certified status by the USGBC. Liberty Green is located at 906 Spencer Street in the City of Syracuse. Green infrastructure in the form of porous concrete was incorporated for stormwater management into the green design of the site.
